Resilience & Readiness

A 16-session program for young people transitioning out of foster care

You have already survived things most people will never face. This program is built on that fact.

Resilience & Readiness is a group-based learning experience designed for young people ages 17–26 who are stepping into independent living. Across 16 sessions, you'll gain the knowledge, tools, and community to understand your own story, manage stress, build healthy relationships, and handle the real-world demands of adult life — from leases to job interviews to knowing what you're entitled to.

This isn't therapy. It isn't a lecture series. It's a space where the science of trauma and resilience meets the practical reality of your life — and where the people in the room become part of your foundation.

You don't have to have it all figured out to show up. You just have to show up.

Four Course Tracks — Free of Charge:

🧠

Trauma & Healing — Understand what happened to you — not what's wrong with you. This track explores how early experiences shape the brain and body, and guides you through naming your losses, reclaiming your identity, and recognizing the strength that grew from hard times.

🌬️

Stress & the Nervous System — Learn the science behind why you feel the way you feel. This track teaches you how stress and survival responses work in your body, and gives you a real toolkit — breathing, grounding, movement — to regulate when life gets overwhelming.

🤝

Relationships & Connection — Explore what healthy connection actually looks like. This track covers attachment, recognizing harmful relationship patterns, communicating your needs clearly, and building the network of people who will genuinely have your back.

💼

Life Skills & Career Readiness — Get practical. This track covers the real-world skills no one taught you — budgeting, leases, benefits you're entitled to, building a resume, and showing up confidently in a job interview. Your story is an asset. We'll show you how to use it.

Who These Classes Are For

If you aged out of foster care — at 18, or 19, or even 25 — and found yourself standing on the other side of the system with no roadmap, these classes were built for you. Every lesson is practical. Every resource is free. And every course was designed by someone who understands what it means to start from almost nothing.

You do not have to figure this out alone.
