There Are Many Ways to Show Up.

Whether you give your time, your talent, your resources, or your voice — every act of support helps ensure no young adult, anywhere, faces independence alone.

One relationship. Life-changing impact.

Become a Mentor

Research is clear: a consistent, caring adult relationship is one of the most powerful predictors of positive outcomes for foster care alumni. As a Rooted Forward mentor, you commit to showing up — regularly, reliably, and genuinely — for one young adult over the course of a year.

What to Expect

  • Minimum one-year commitment
  • Meet with your mentee at least twice per month
  • Complete Rooted Forward mentor training (provided)
  • Participate in quarterly mentor community events
  • Receive ongoing support from our program team

Your expertise is exactly what they need.

Volunteer Your Skills

Our participants need real-world knowledge from people who have navigated careers, finances, healthcare, and life. If you have professional skills to share, we want to hear from you. Workshop facilitators, guest speakers, resume reviewers, mock interviewers — every skill matters.

Skills We Need

  • HR professionals — resume reviews and interview coaching
  • Financial advisors — budgeting and financial literacy workshops
  • Healthcare workers — navigating insurance and wellness
  • Legal professionals — tenant rights and basic legal literacy
  • Entrepreneurs — small business and career development
  • Educators — life skills and academic support

Align your company with meaningful impact.

Corporate Partnership

Rooted Forward offers meaningful partnership opportunities for companies that want to invest in their community. From employee volunteer programs to named sponsorships, we work with corporate partners to create engagement that is authentic, impactful, and visible.

Partnership Options

  • Employer partnerships for job placement and internships
  • Corporate sponsorships with recognition opportunities
  • Employee volunteer and skills-based giving programs
  • Matching gift programs
  • Named giving opportunities for gifts of $10,000+
  • Site visits and impact reporting for major partners

Awareness is the first step to change.

Spread the Word

One of the most powerful things you can do is simply tell people about Rooted Forward. Share our mission with your network, follow us on social media, and help us reach the donors, volunteers, and partners who can make a difference for young adults in South Florida.

Ways to Share

  • Follow and share our social media content
  • Tell friends, family, and colleagues about our work
  • Host a community awareness event
  • Introduce us to potential donors or partners
  • Share our programs with social workers and case managers

Financial Support

Your Donation Funds It All.

Every dollar goes directly toward mental health support, life skills workshops, career coaching, and mentorship for young adults building their lives from the ground up. Rooted Forward's full-year program costs approximately $6,000 per youth — a fraction of the cost of inaction.
